DESCRIPTION:The Not Without Us Project is giving women with disabilities who’ve experienced domestic violence a chance to share their voices and stories\, as well as share solutions about accessibility. \nThis meeting is open to women with disabilities who experienced domestic violence as well as well as to the staff at the organizations that serve these women. Everyone will have a chance to share their ideas for accessibility on transition houses and other resources. The names of those who take part in the meetings will remain confidential. \nThis project is a partnership of Easter Seals Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia League for Equal Opportunities. The project is hosting two meetings in Cape Breton: In Sydney on Wednesday\, Aug. 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Room A145\, NSCC Marconi Campus and on Thursday\, Aug. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Strait Area Women’s Place\, 609 Church St.\, Unit 102. \nTo RSVP or for more information\, email suzannerentnwu@gmail.com. \n
