Unveiling of Plaque to Honour the Polish Pioneers of Glace Bay
There will be a short, special outdoor ceremony to unveil a plaque to honour the Polish pioneers of Glace Bay. Wednesday, September 30, at 11 a.m. at the Dawe Ave. Recreation Field near Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay. (Rain date October 1 at 11 a.m.) The plaque was sponsored by generous donors. This will be the final community event for this year's first ever Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month.

Hope Project’s Golf for Hope Event
Hope House & Covered By Hope are very excited to invite all to our first Golf Fundraiser. In our current social distancing situation, we are able to organize a "Golf for Hope” fundraiser with refreshments & live music featuring Cape Breton Lyrics & Laughter. The Good Food bus is back in New Aberdeen, Glace Bay. The Good Food bus will be parked outside Warden United Church on Fifth Street, October 24th November 7th & 21st from 10:00am - 11:30am. The bus has fresh fruits and veggies for sale at a discounted rate. It's open to everyone! There will also be an outdoor flea market while weather allows. Social Distancing protocols must be followed.
