On Saturday, May 27th at 7 p.m. the congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Sydney Mines, will be hosting a Hope, Hymns, and Inspirational concert with the band Chalk Dust, to celebrate their 182nd Anniversary and you are invited to join us. Harbourside fun day is happening on May 27th from 2pm-4-pm at the Harbourside field. There will be face painting, balloon animals, outdoor games, and more. Popcorn available for $2, water/pop for $1, fries for a donation. They will also be selling tickets on 2 dozen lobster. Draw will take place same day.

The Alder Point Blessing of the Fleet is taking place Sunday, May 28th at 1:30pm at the Alder Point Government Wharf. There is a parade on land as well as a parade by boat, beginning at St. Anne’s Parish Church in Alder Point and ends at the government wharf. This is a fun filled day with an Antique Car Show, entertainment by Jokers Wild, music, food trucks and plenty of activities for the whole family!

When: May 28, 2023 from 10am-2pm Where: John Bernard Croak Memorial Park (50 Beacon St., Glace Bay, NS) This is a youth event for ages 16 and under. Prize categories are 7 and Under; 8-12; 13-16. Admission is free. Registrants of 16 years require a NS general fishing license (this license can be obtained for free from local vendors). This is a fishing regulation that must be followed. Entrants must be registered prior to registering catch.
