CHINESE NEW YEAR

The first day of Chinese New Year begins on the new moon that appears between January 21 and February 20 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. The tiger is known to be king of all beasts in China and comes third in the Chinese zodiac. The qualities associated with the tiger are competitive, self-confident, brave, willpower and strength Celebrations last up to 16 days, but only the first 7 days are considered a public holiday in China.

Many Canadians celebrate Groundhog Day. Some Christian churches also celebrate Candlemas on this day, while others use Groundhog Day to take down their Christmas decorations. Take-Out Ham and Potato Salad Dinner

St. Mary's Polish Church will have a take-out Ham and Potato Salad Dinner on Friday, February 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Menu also includes coleslaw, bun, and dessert. Tickets are $12 each and must be pre-purchased (there will be no sales at the door). Orders for this take-out dinner can be picked up at the side door of St. Mary's Polish Church. Super Bowl LVI, the 56th Super Bowl and the 51st modern-era National Football League championship game, will decide the league champion for the 2021 NFL season.
