HARVEST BREAKFAST
The Port Morien Legion, RCL Br. 055, will host a Harvest Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on Sunday, October 20th from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Freshly baked muffins, juice, tea and coffee are included. Admission is Adults, $9; Children, $6. Come out, meet friends, and enjoy our fabulous view of beautiful Port Morien Harbour and Bay.

Sunday, October 20th from 12-4:00 the Cape Breton Pagan Society will be putting on a Samhain (Halloween) Market at Brookshaven Hall & Recreation Association. There will be plenty of crafts/vendors & lots of metaphysical goodies as well. There is no admission fee. We will have a 50/50 with half going to a charity that is in need! Hope to see you there! The CBU Nursing Society will be holding a food drive to support local food banks on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The event will be held at all Sobeys locations in Industrial Cape Breton as well as Eskasoni and Sydney mines Foodland locations from 8 am until 4 pm.

Once again, the Glace Bay Food Bank is doing their annual milk run. They are seeking donations of canned or powdered milk. It is running until Nov. 9th. Donations can be dropped off at the Miner’s Forum in Glace Bay. Any financial donations can be made directly to the food bank.
