Release of Doves/Prayers for Peace
Everyone is warmly welcomed to St. Mary's Polish Church in Whitney Pier at sunrise --6:15 in the morning -- this Friday, September 1, to pray for peace and release doves on the occasion of the solemn 84th anniversary of the invasion of Poland and the start of World War II. Many thanks to Pier Community Funeral Home for sharing the doves. This also marks the first day of 2023 Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month.

September 2nd and 3rd Soccer Cape Breton is hosting the Under 15 B Provincial Championships and the Under 13 A Provincial Championships, in both the Boys and Girls divisions. Under 13 games will be played at CBU and at Open Hearth Steelmen's Memorial Field. Under 15 games will be played at Open Hearth Sports Field and MacKinnon field in New Waterford. Schedule, once available, will be on the Soccer Nova Scotia website.
