Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Campaign
The Canadian Cancer Society knows that cancer changes people but they believe that a cancer diagnosis doesn’t have to define who they are. The charity aims to help people live longer and enhance the quality of life for all of those affected by cancer. The Cape Breton Ostomy Support Group will meet on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 from 2pm - 4pm at the South Bar Volunteer Fire Dept Fire hall, South Bar. Guest speaker will be representative from Hollister Ostomy Supplies. This is a support group for those who have an ostomy or will be having an ostomy and their support. A light lunch will be server. There will be a free Polish café this Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Polish Church in Whitney Pier. Everyone is welcome. Free refreshments and desserts. Theme is the Polish custom of decorating willow branches for Palm Sunday. You can try out this craft if you wish. This cafe is part of a series of activities marking the 110th anniversary of the St. Michael's Polish Benefit Society.
