Glace Bay Library Wed Nov 29 9:30am-7:30pm Drop in to make some homemade Christmas cards for seniors in our community

Have breakfast with Santa at Undercurrent Youth Centre on December 2nd.Santa will be there from 10-3pm for photos and pancakes! Price is only $12. Children under 3 are free. There will be games for children and a vendor market for everyone! Crafters, Scentsy, Colourstreet and more will be set up! See you December 2nd at Undercurrent Youth Centre 224 York Street Glace Bay.

Join us for our Kick Off to Christmas dance with DJ Jimmy MacKinnon and his 30 laser light show! Dance will be held at Branch 55, Port Morien Legion on Saturday, December 2nd from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. $5.00 cover charge. Ages 19 and over.

The Road to Bethlehem is an Advent/Christmas Festival filled with music, readings, and celebration! It will be held Sunday, December 3rd at Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, Cabot Street, Sydney. The Road to Bethlehem starts at 7:00 PM and all are welcome.

There will be a Christmas Craft & Bake Sale at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 24 King Street, North Sydney on Sunday, December 3rd from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. There will be a bake table, Christmas Bazaar items and craft tables. There will be a $2.00 admission with a chance to win a door prize. Stop by between 12pm and 2pm and learn about some services and resources that are in our communities to support Newcomers! Hear from the Cape Breton Partnership, the Cape Breton Island Center for Immigration, the North Sydney Food Bank, and the Cape Breton Library! Staff will be on hand to help with resumes and your job search!

McConnell Library, Sydney Friday, December 8th, 6:30-8:30pm Join acclaimed writers and performers Ken Chisholm, Todd Pettigrew, Sherry Ramsey and James FW Thompson for an evening of original spooky stories inspired by master Canadian storyteller Robertson Davies. Come have yourself a scary little Christmas! Refreshments and festive fun await. This is a special after-hours library event! Doors open to audience members at 6:00pm. No registration required. Please note that no regular library services will be available.
