Join acclaimed writers and performers Ken Chisholm, Todd Pettigrew, and Sherry Ramsey on December 6th for an evening of original spooky stories. Guest harpist Erin Phillips will play as refreshments are served. Come have yourself a scary little Christmas! This is a special after-hours library event! Doors open at 6:00pm with stories to start at 6:30pm. Please note that no regular library services will be available.

100 Women Who Care CBRM is excited to announce that we are moving into 11 years of giving and sharing, learning and caring, and, to date, have given $567,500 in impact donations to 41 charitable organizations in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The giving circle will be celebrating their 42 event, to be held on Tuesday December 3, 2024, hosted by NSCC Waterfront Campus, Esplanade, Sydney. Drop into the library to talk to a Social Justice Support Worker from NS Legal Aid. They can provide legal information and limited advocacy services for people seeking help with social justice related issues.
